Directions to Rhinecliff

Alternatives: The Taconic or the train
1. Take the New York State Thruway (Route I-87) north. Take the Kingston exit (Exit 19). Click here for map.
2. At the circle, follow the signs to 209 and the Rhinecliff Bridge. Take 209 going east.
3. Continue on 209 for about 5 miles to the Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge (toll) over the Hudson River. The road number changes to 199. At the first traffic light after the bridge, turn right onto River Road (Route 103).
4. Follow River Road south for about 3 miles, bearing right at a fork along the way, to 308. Turning right onto 308 takes you into Rhinecliff. (See map below)
5. In Rhinecliff, with the river on your right, pass the train station, go through the stop street at Schatzell and continue up a slight rise (on Kelly). Where the road curves left, continue straight on James and drive to the end. Ours is the last house on the left, a white house with blue trim with a white picket fence.
